Occasionally, rescue collies do become available and after spaying/neutering, bringing them up to date on shots, and sometimes even socializing and lead training become available for adoption to very special homes. It is important to remember that a rescue collie is not a free collie as a lot of time and sometimes, a lot of expense, is put into these collies to enable them to become suitable pets for you and your family. Fees very depending on the age and needs of the animal. Adopting a rescue dog can be a very rewarding experience and you would be helping a dog in need.
Currently, there are a few dogs available for adoption in the Kansas City area and Northern Kansas. These dogs are not housed with us but contact information can be obtained through Janie Clymer at clyfarms@tctelco.net.
These wonderful whites are already vetted, heartworm checked, up to date on shots and spayed and neutered. They are currently located at the Parsons Animal Welfare Society in Parsons, KS. For additional information, please contact the shelter at pawskaren@hotmail.com.
