All collies are special, just some stand out more than others. I didn't know what to expect
when I took Bettie to her first show but she's one of those that you put on the end of a lead
and they come alive. Bettie had a bad habit of barking in the ring and wagging her tail
wildly especially when the judge was examining her. Bettie just loves to show and loves the
show ring. Bettie started her career with a Reserve Winner's Bitch placement at the Steve
Field Memorial Show judged by George Horn at the Nebraska Collie Club Specialty.
Bettie placed second in her class at the CCA National Specialty in MN. Bettie finished
with majors under judges Marcia Bittner and Houston Clark.
Bettie died on May 22, 2007 due to pyometra. Such a devastating loss that I can't even
believe that she's gone as she was always so healthy and so vibrant and was never sick a
day in her life.
